The desalination process is based on Ultra filtration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology.
The process starts by ﬁltering particles & bacteria from feed water through UF membrane, then the filtrate enter RO feed tank. UF filtrate is used as source for backwashing UF stack. Other pretreatment process like DAF/Clarifier/multi-media filter is available on request.
UF filtrate is pumped to RO high-pressure pump, and the fresh water is pressurized out through the membrane and sent to RO product tank, while concentrated water is discharged after energy recovering by energy recovery device. RO product water is used as source for flushing RO stack.
RO product water is then sent to remineralization system (calcite filter) to add Calcium and bicarbonate to meet drinking water standard.
